We wish you a Merry Christmas…

Well there’s no ‘We’ but I do wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Its odd saying that because tomorrow I’ll be opening a selection of Easter things to photograph in the studio that have a deadline of the end of this month (December 2014).
That’s one of the quirks of being a commercial and stock photographer, your studio can be decked with fake holly and snow in July whilst all the windows are open and the sweat is running down your nose and around this time of year you get the call for sunny beach shots for spring and summer promotions.

Its been a interesting year for me, Ive traveled through 4 continents and travel plans for next year currently have 6 or so new countries targeted for visits. I probably wont have the time to get to them all but the work profiles and schedules mean this year will equally be interesting.
Ive worked with some of my longest standing commercial clients (I once say oldest clients and I got a telling off for that! although after 12 years with them I think they know me by now), and have won and retained some new clients and hope to continue these relationships and build new ones in the coming year.
Ive just finished my last Northern Ireland corporate job of the year (well for the minute!) at 3am on the 21st December. Luckily its the longest night of the year and from now on things will get brighter, a time for change for photographers as much as other outdoor type professions.
I’m just packaging up some fine art prints to get to last minute local Belfast clients and once I brave the Christmas traffic on Monday that should be it for 2014….
…although watch this space, there’s always something to fit in between now and the end of the year, one of the joys of being flexible but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
All that remains for the blog is for me to wish you all a Happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year!
